Method
- Start by cutting the bread in half horizontally to create two halves.
- If you wish, you can lightly toast the bread in a toaster or oven for about 1-2 minutes at 180°C to make it crispier. This step is optional.
- Arrange the slices of Iberian ham evenly over the base of the bread. Use about 50 g of ham per sandwich.
- Next, drain the mozzarella well to remove excess liquid and slice it thinly or tear it into pieces.
- Generously distribute the mozzarella over the ham on both halves of the bread. About 75 g of mozzarella per sandwich.
- Wash the rocket and dry it well. Place a good portion of fresh rocket over the mozzarella.
- Close the sandwiches with the other half of the bread.
- Serve immediately to enjoy the freshness of the ingredients. Total preparation time is approximately 5 minutes.
Shopping tip
For Iberian ham, look for offers on sliced packs in the leaflets from Continente or Pingo Doce, which often have good promotions. Fresh rocket and mozzarella are usually cheaper at Lidl or Auchan.
