Editorial trust
Who stands behind what you read here.
PlanMyMeals is built by two people in Portugal. This page names who is responsible for what gets published, what we know first hand, and what we will not put on the site without someone qualified reviewing it.
Who
Two people, both named
There is no anonymous content desk here. PlanMyMeals is a product team of two, and Duarte Cruz, co-founder, is responsible for what gets published on this site. Lucas Vicente, co-founder, is the other half of the team.
Both of us are software engineers. That is the honest description and it is worth stating before anything else: neither of us is a chef, a nutritionist or a dietitian, and we do not want a reader assuming otherwise from a byline. What we take responsibility for is the editorial side of household logistics, not culinary credentials we do not hold.

Direct experience
What we know from building the thing
The experience behind these pages is the experience of building and running the planner, and of using it at home for the problem it was written for.
- Who is actually eating. We model attendance meal by meal rather than assuming the whole household sits down every night.
- Portions and leftovers. We connect headcount, appetite, the portions a recipe was written for, and the meals that use up what is left.
- The shop as an operation. Units, what is already in the cupboard and the sizes things are sold in are what turn a plan into a list you can actually shop from.
- The week as one system. We test the path from planning to the supermarket to the pan as a whole, not each step on its own.
That is product and household-logistics experience. It is not a clinical, nutrition or food-safety qualification, and we do not present it as one.
Scope
Where we stop and ask for someone else
The line below is the same one the Portuguese side of the site draws. It is not a disclaimer bolted on at the end: it decides what gets written in the first place.
Weekly planning, portion arithmetic, planned leftovers, organising the shop, grocery cost estimates, and plain explanations of how the product reached a result.
Allergies, food safety, clinical nutrition, infant feeding, pregnancy, illness, or anything that reads as a therapeutic recommendation.
When a page does need that kind of review, the reviewer gets named on the page itself. If we cannot name one, the page does not go up.
Corrections
If we get something wrong
Every editorial page carries the date of its last real revision. That date moves when the text, a source, a figure or the behaviour being described changes. It does not move because a file was reformatted.
To report an error, email support@planmymeals.ai with the address of the page and the passage you are questioning. A link to a better source helps but is not required.
We fix factual errors as soon as we can confirm them, and when a fix changes what a page claims, the revision date moves with it. If the correction is one we cannot confirm, we will say so rather than quietly leave it.
