  1. Cook the Japanese short-grain rice. Warm the dashi until steaming, not boiling.
  2. Ladle some dashi and dissolve the miso paste, then stir it back in. Do not boil.
  3. Add the silken tofu cubes and wakame until warm and the seaweed opens.
  4. Serve with spring onion and the rice on the side.
