  1. Soften the chopped onion, garlic and tomato in the olive oil with the paprika for 5 minutes over low heat.
  2. Add the tinned or jarred chickpeas, drained and rinsed, and cover with 1.2 L of water. Season with the salt. These are already cooked: dried chickpeas would need an overnight soak and about 1 hour of separate cooking.
  3. Bring to the boil and add the 80 g of pevide soup pasta; cook for 8 minutes, stirring now and then so it does not catch on the bottom.
  4. Stir in the spinach and cook for 2 minutes, just until it wilts.
  5. Adjust the salt and serve.
