Method
- Preheat the oven to 200°C.
- Wash the chicken legs and dry them with kitchen paper. Season with salt, pepper, garlic powder and paprika. Let marinate for 15-20 minutes, if you have time.
- Wash and peel the potatoes, cut them into large cubes or into wedges.
- In an ovenproof dish, place the potatoes and drizzle with a little olive oil. Season the potatoes with salt and pepper.
- Arrange the chicken legs over the potatoes in the dish.
- Put in the preheated oven and roast for about 45-50 minutes, or until the chicken is golden and the potatoes are tender. Turn the chicken legs halfway through the cooking so they brown evenly.
- To ensure the chicken is cooked, check that the juices run clear when you pierce the thickest part of the thigh.
- Serve hot, accompanied by a fresh salad.
Shopping tip
At Continente and Pingo Doce, you can often find chicken legs on offer, especially in family packs. Also check Lidl or Auchan leaflets for national potatoes at better prices.
