Method
- Remove the pork chops from the fridge 15 minutes before cooking to allow them to reach room temperature.
- Season the chops with salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste, on both sides.
- Heat a grill or griddle over medium-high heat for about 5-7 minutes, until very hot.
- Place the chops on the hot grill. Grill for 4-5 minutes on each side for chops about 1.5-2 cm thick, for medium. For thinner or thicker chops, adjust the grilling time.
- While the chops are grilling, prepare the rice according to the packet instructions, usually cooking in boiling water for 10-12 minutes.
- Wash and prepare the salad to your liking, with tomato, cucumber or other vegetables.
- After grilling, remove the chops from the grill and place them on a plate. Cover with aluminium foil and let rest for 5 minutes before serving. This helps to retain the meat juices.
- Serve the grilled chops immediately, accompanied by the rice and the fresh salad.
