Method
- Preheat the grill to medium-high heat (about 200°C) for 10 minutes.
- If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for at least 30 minutes to prevent them from burning.
- Season the meat skewers with salt and pepper to taste, or with a seasoning specifically for grilling.
- Grill the skewers for 4-6 minutes on each side, turning occasionally, until they reach the desired level of doneness. For well done, grill for longer.
- While the skewers are grilling, cook the pasta in plenty of salted water, following the package instructions, generally for 8-10 minutes, until al dente.
- Drain the pasta and set aside. You may add a drizzle of olive oil so it does not stick.
- Prepare the salad, washing and chopping the ingredients as desired. Dress with olive oil, vinegar/lemon and salt.
- Serve the meat skewers immediately, accompanied by the pasta and the fresh salad.
Shopping tip
For the meat for the skewers, look for the weekly promotions at the butcher counter in Continente or Pingo Doce. They often have cuts already prepared for skewers at a good price and quality.
