Method
- Heat the oven to 200 C. Boil the ziti in salted water until just shy of al dente. Drain.
- Warm the tomato passata with olive oil and torn basil. Stir in the ricotta off the heat.
- Spread a spoon of sauce in a baking dish. Layer half the pasta, half the mozzarella, and sauce.
- Repeat with the remaining pasta, sauce and mozzarella. Finish with parmesan.
- Bake 20 to 25 minutes until bubbling. Rest 5 minutes before serving.
